However, all other licenses that apply to sole proprietors as discussed here are requited regardless of getting a federal tax ID number.


Also keep in mind that employers will need to obtain a federal EIN and a State EIN tax identificattion number. I.e., a TN Federal Tax Id Number ($29) ย and a(n) TN ย State Employer Tax Numberย ย 


Instead of filing a fictitious business name DBA Filing (about $49 plus state and legal newspaper publication fees) in Milan,ย Incorporate in TN ย orย form a(n) TN LLC

Q: Is setting up an LLC a better choice than filing a DBA?

A: If the business market projection is a target fot the company you should consider forming an LLC.
