There Are Two State Tax IDs
NOTE: This state tax ID is only for employers.
The other state tax ID is called a Seller's Permit or State Sales Tax ID number.
Employers are required to obtain a State Employer Tax ID (EIN) and a Federal Tax Id Number (FEIN).
Thus, if you have any workers, you need both tax id numbers above, namely, a federal tax ID and a state employer tax ID.
